17th Edition Wiring Regulations

The 17th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671:2008 Requirements for Electrical Installation, published in January 2008 and to which all electrical installations designed after the 30th. June 2008 must comply.

The IET Wiring Regulations has undergone 17 major revisions and countless updates and amendments since it’s first publication.

Now in it’s 17th Edition and amended to Amendment 1, the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations publication is now published under a green cover in order to distinguish between the amendment 1 (green cover) and pre-amendment 1 (red cover) versions.

The first amendment is effective from January 1st 2012 and installations designed after December 31st 2011 must comply.
